The Adventures of John & Kate Food Cyclists April 2011

A special treat for John & Kate and the beginning of a wonderful bicycling adventure with stops in New Jersey. Dark velvet cupcakes made with stout from a micro brewery.

"Over the year in 2010 Kate and I have ridden over 1000 miles on our touring bikes visiting farms around the North East United States. This is in addition to bicycle commuting and racing. Starting in April of 2011 I'm going to head out on my bicycle from New York City and head South through NY, NJ, PA, MD, VA, and DE. I am calling this my "micro-tour" as it focuses on micro breweries and craft brewers."

 

Winter

Winter has finally arrived,

 trees devoid of leaves

they are earth's blanket

what beauty

the changing colors

dawn

dusk

frost

To curl up and sleep

Halloween Count Down

What special treats will you have for Halloween?

Are you ready for some sweets?

School is about to start but my mind is already wandering to fall crisp nights. The amazing colors of the fall leaves. Enjoy the hot days of summer, until then are you ready for some sweets? I am. Chocolate cupcakes with ganache and chocolate fondant and the magical colors of fall.

Tropical wedding

Dede chose beautiful summer colors for her wedding celebration papaya and chartreuse, her invitation and colors were the inspiration for the cupcakes and cake . The cupcakes are vanilla bean with white chocolate and chocolate with ganache.


Again thanks and we had the two remaining cupcakes last night. Someone commented about the cake"at last a real cake that tastes as a cake should" high praise.

The cake was decorated in flowers to match the invitation design and colors.

The cake was chocolate with chocolate ganache. Chocolate cheers to many happy years together.

The cake was wonderful to look at and very delicious. Everyone loved it . Thank you for adding to our day in a wonderful way.

Chocolate cupcakes for a special celebration. Thanks so much again for the gorgeous treats - they tasted as good as they looked! They were really well received. I will definitely use you for any future events and be happy to recommend you to our clients.

Snow melts and a wonderful surprise appears!

As mother nature's winter blanket melts from the ground wonderful little beings start to appear. Such was the inspiration for this bite sized cupcake.

Awaiting Spring

Patiently awaiting the arrival of warmer weather, with banana cupcakes and white chocolate.

Happy Birthday Kate!

One dozen vanilla Hedge Hog cupcakes to bring sunshine into Kate's special day! They were so cute and made for a fun lunchtime birthday celebration with the girls. Which eased the fact that we were not there for dinner with them."
